Men’s Hoops Adds Christian Henry as First Transfer Addition for 2024-25

Junior college transfer averaged 13.8 ppg, 3.9 apg at Panola College
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University men's basketball has secured its first off-season roster addition as the Eagles have signed Christian Henry from Panola College, Head Coach Stan Heath announced Monday, April 22. Henry has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
"Christian is a tough Chicago guard," said Heath. "He's a winner who led his team to the national tournament at junior college. He's a combo guard who can play with the ball in his hands, he can facilitate, and he can knock down shots. He's definitely one of those players who has proven himself in clutch moments. We're excited to have him and he'll help us with our guard play and he'll bring great leadership qualities to the team, as well."
Henry (Chicago, Ill./The Skill Factory (Atlanta, Ga.)/Panola College) averaged 13.8 points per game and 3.9 assists per game as a sophomore, which included a 20.0 ppg clip in the NJCAA Tournament.
Henry guided the Ponies to an impressive 27-7 record in 2023-24, which included a win in the opening round of the NJCAA Tournament, an 84-73 win over Jones College, March 24, which saw Henry net 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting while dishing out four assists.
Henry had six games of 20-plus points in 2023-24, highlighted by a 38-point outing at Bossier Parish Community College, Feb. 21.
