How it Happened - Wake Forest Invitational

Davies set the women's program record in the 10,000m, completing the race in 33:30.93, topping the previous program-best (33:37.37), set by former Eagle Jordan McDermitt in 2017, by nearly seven seconds.

Paige Marchant (London, Ontario/Catholic Central) placed 27th in the women's 1,500m invite in a personal-best 4:17.98, placing herself inside the top-10 yet again, placing No. 2.

Tabatha Walford (Northamptonshire/England/Bishop Stopford/Nevada) and Anita Zaro (Timisoara, Romania/Faculty of Physical Education and Sport) joined Marchant with strong outings in the 1,500m. Walford crossed the finish line in a personal-best 4:28.11, while Zaro also earned a career-time, finishing in 4:29.00.

Chloie Musta (Mesick, Mich./Cadillac) performed well, placing 10th in the 800m out of 39 competitors in 2:10.86.

From the men's squad, Marcus Kemp (Kitchener, Ontario/St. Mary's Kitchener), Linus Vennemann (Osnabrück, Lower Saxony, Germany/Gymnasium "In der Wüste"), and Kian Wiles (Hull, England/St. Mary's College) earned top-10 finishes.

Kemp finished fourth in the 1,500m in a personal-best 3:42.77, a time that ranks him inside the program top-10 at No. 8. Wiles followed closely behind, slotting eighth, also in a personal-best, 3:45.54.

Vennemann finished first in the 5,000m in a personal-best 14:13.76. Vennemann was joined by Sam Peterson (Charlevoix, Mich./Charlevoix) and Joey Furlong (Deer Park, Ill./Barrington), who also set career-best times, finishing in 14:34.05, and 14:39.72, respectively.
