YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) —
The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics held the annual "YPSI's Awards Show" today, April 15, inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center. The awards show serves as a way to honor the top athletic, citizenship, and academic achievements by EMU student-athletes during the 2023-24 academic year.

The YPSI's saw EMU student-athletes, coaches, athletic department, and university staff come together to honor the Eagles' best individuals and teams, as well as the 2023-24 seniors from each of Eastern Michigan's 19 sport programs. The ceremony featured video skits and awards presentations by several EMU student-athletes and staff.

SASS Academic Counselor Gabe Schmidt served as the host, while a wide-range of student-athletes presented the awards to the winners. Eastern Michigan coaches nominated student-athletes for the awards and the list was narrowed down to four finalists in each category. The winners for every award were selected by voting from every EMU intercollegiate athletics team.

Rookie Women's Track and Field student-athlete, Paige Marchant earned awards in three out of the four categories she was nominated in.
