Swim and Dive Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Award for 2023 Fall Semester

The team posted a 3.741 GPA with 30 student athletes notching a 3.00+ and eight achieving a 4.00
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team earned the Scholar All-America Award from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2023 fall semester, the CSCAA announced today, Feb. 16.
In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade-point averages during the Fall 2023 semester. Of the selected teams, an impressive 595 achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above, earning eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
The Eagles posted a 3.741 GPA in the fall semester, the highest in program history. Additionally, every swimming and diving student-athlete notched a GPA over 3.00, while eight achieved a 4.00. Overall, the swimming and diving program has the highest cumulative GPA of all Eastern Michigan programs at 3.810.

The Eagles compete tomorrow, Feb. 17, and Sunday, Feb. 18, at 10 a.m., at the First Chance Meet, hosted by the University of Michigan, at Canham Natatorium in Ann Arbor, Mich.
