YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Jalin Billingsley scored a career-high 32 points while matching his career high with 10 rebounds to lead the Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team past Siena Heights University, 83-58, Friday, Nov. 8, in EMU's home opener at the George Gervin GameAbove Center.
Billingsley (Cleveland, Ohio/Lutheran East/Georgetown) also matched his career high with three blocks. Jalen Terry (Flint, Mich./Beecher/Oregon/DePaul) scored 14 points to go with nine rebounds.
How it Happened
Billingsley scored 17 first-half points to lead the Eagles to a 40-33 halftime lead.
A 14-4 Eastern run, capped by a Terry dunk, to open the second half pushed the EMU lead to 54-37.
The Eagles led by at least 15 points the remainder of the way, extending their lead to as many as 25 on Mario Brunetto's (La Spezia, Italy/Classical Gymnasium) first career three-pointer with just 32 seconds to play.

» Eastern moved to 1-1 overall while Siena Heights moved to 0-3 overall.
» Eastern Michigan was 30-of-55 (54.5%) from the floor and 6-of-18 (33.3%) from three-point range while Siena Heights was 23-of-65 (35.4%) from the field and 6-of-29 (20.7%) from deep.
» Billingsley's 32 points are eight more than the second-highest point total in the MAC so far this season. Through Thursday's games, Billingsley's 32 points would rank as the fifth-most in one game in the country so far this season.
