Zhang and Shved Named MAC Doubles Team of the Week

The duo picked up a win Friday, Feb. 10 at Chicago State to move to 2-0 this season
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University tennis student-athletes Wanyi Zhang (Bejing China-Crnjanski Gimnzija (Serbia)) and Daniella Shved (Holon, Isreal-ORT Holon) have been named the Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the week, the league announced today, Feb. 16
Zhang and Shved continued their impressive start to the 2023 spring season with a win against Chicago State University, Feb. 10. The duo, who picked up a 6-3 win in the No. 3 position, moved to a perfect 2-0 on the season. They have each of EMU's two doubles victories this season, and have dropped a total of just five games in those matches.
The pair, along with the rest of the Eagles, are back in action Saturday, Feb. 18, against Youngstown State. The first home match of the season for EMU, play will begin at 11 a.m. from the Chippewa Club in Ypsilanti.
