Eastern was one of six Mid-American Conference institutions to earn the academic team distinction, as the University at Buffalo, Miami University, Northern Illinois University, the University of Toledo, and Western Michigan University also appeared on the list.

Brichackova played in the No. 2, 3, and 4 spots in the singles rotation in 2021-22, finishing 21-15 overall, and 17-11 in the spring season. She was 24-8 in doubles play, and was 10-2 at the No. 3 position. The Cheb, Czech Republic native was named the MAC doubles player of the week, March 11.

Ganesan was 17-13 overall last season, including a 12-10 mark in spring contests. Meanwhile, Piatek ended the season 11-8 overall and 7-5 during the spring season, playing primarily at No. 4, 5, and 6 singles spots. She was 8-8 in doubles play, competing mainly in the two and three spots.

Popma held an 8-26 overall record in singles action, playing primarily in the No. 3 spot. She partnered with Ganesan for all but one doubles contest during the season, and ended 10-21 overall, mainly in the one spot.

A Second Team All-MAC selection, Vichare put up a 15-16 overall record and was 10-14 during the spring season, playing all but three matches at No. 2 singles position.
