Brichackova and Vichare Earn First MAC Weekly Honor

The Eagle freshmen were selected as Co-Doubles Team of the Week
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team saw freshman doubles pairing Sabina Brichackova (Cheb, Czech Republic-Gymnazium Jana Blahoslava) and Prerna Vichare (Mumbai, India-College of Commerce and Economics) earn Co-Doubles Team of the Week, the league office announced Thursday, March 11. This is the first career conference honor for the first-year student-athletes.
The duo went 2-1 last week during their time in Orlando, Fla. The pairing started against UCF, March 3, falling 6-4, at No. 2. March 5, the freshmen bested Oakland, 6-2, at No. 3. Later that same day, Brichackova and Vichare topped St. Petersburg College, 6-0, in the No. 2 spot. The pair moves to 13-3 this spring season.
