YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) --
The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team fell, 74-56, to Ohio University at home today, Feb. 12, inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center.

The Eagles (8-16, 3-10 MAC) had three players score in double figures, led by senior Darion Spottsville (Phoenix, Ariz.-Shadow Mountain (South Mountain C.C.)), who had 12 points. Freshman Luka Savicevic (Skopje, North Macedonia-Sports Academy Skopje) tacked on 11 points off of the bench, and junior Bryce McBride (Jackson, Tenn.-Southside (Dyersburg State C.C.)) chipped in as well with 10 points.

Defensively, EMU forced Ohio into nine turnovers as freshman Noah Farrakhan (Newark, N.J.-The Patrick School (East Carolina)) led the team with two steals. On the boards, senior Nate Scott (Naperville, Ill.-Neuqua Valley (Northern Illinois)) hauled in seven rebounds, while freshman Mo Njie (Centerville, Ohio-Centerville (DME Sports Academy)) was the only Eagle to record multiple offensive boards in the contest with two.

How It Happened
After jumping out to a 19-14 advantage, Eastern Michigan went on a 10-0 run with 7:31 left in the first half, culminating in a three from Savicevic, to increase its lead to 29-14. The Eagles then lost some of that lead, but still entered halftime with a 33-25 advantage. Eastern relied on its three-point shooting in the period, knocking down five shots to account for 15 of its 33 points.

Ohio then erased the Eastern Michigan lead in the game's final stanza for a 74-56 comeback victory. The Green and White took care of business in the paint, recording 12 of its 23 points in the lane.
