Soccer Lands Seven on Academic All-MAC List

Ash leads the way with her third career honor from the conference
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The Mid-American Conference announced today, Dec. 14, its 2022 Women's Soccer Academic All-MAC Team with seven members of the Eastern Michigan University program earning recognition for their academic and athletic success. The seven Eagles are among 125 student-athletes from across the conference that participated in at least 50 percent of their team's games while maintaining at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average. Student-athletes also must have completed at least one full year at their current institution to be eligible.
The list of honorees from Eastern include senior Sarah Ash (South Lyon, Mich.-South Lyon), sophomore Sophia D'Ambra (Glen Ellyn, Ill.-Glenbard South), junior Tiffanie Hollingsworth (South Lyon, Mich.-South Lyon East), sophomore Meagan Lukowski (Bay City, Mich.-Bay City Western), sophomore Maddie O'Farrell (Haslett, Mich.-Lansing Catholic), junior Rebecca Przybylo (Canton, Mich.-Plymouth), and sophomore Ashley Schneider (Johnstown, Ohio-Johnstown Monroe). Overall, Ash earned her third career academic honor from the MAC while Hollingsworth earned her second. D'Ambra, Lukowski, O'Farrell, Przybylo, and Schneider each earned their first accolades.
With the inclusion of the MAC honor, six Eagles have twice been honored academically for the 2022 season as each was named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, Nov. 15. That group included Ash, D'Ambra, Hollingsworth, Lukowski, O'Farrell, and Przybylo.
Historically since the 1997 season, 87 different Eagles have accumulated 159 total academic honors from the MAC. Additionally, Eastern has placed at least seven individuals on the Academic All-MAC ledger in each of the last nine years.
