Men's Basketball Selected for Three National Broadcasts

Eastern picked for two games on ESPNU, one on CBS Sports Network for the 2022-23 season
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team has been selected to appear on three national broadcasts in the 2022-23 season through pre-selections announced by the Mid-American Conference, Oct. 5. The Eagles will play live on ESPNU twice and CBS Sports Network once with the opportunity to be selected for any of the remaining eight 21-day wildcard selections that will be announced later in the season.
The first televised game will come early in the season as ESPNU will broadcast the Washtenaw County battle between Eastern and the University of Michigan that will be played Friday, Nov. 11, inside Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. The game is scheduled for a 9 p.m. tip.
The Eagles' MAC contest with the University of Akron, Friday, Jan. 13, will also air on ESPNU. The game will be played inside the James A. Rhodes Arena in Akron, Ohio, and is set for a 7 p.m. tip.
The final pre-selected game is Tuesday, Jan. 24, when Eastern travels to Toledo, Ohio, to face the University of Toledo. The Eagles and Rockets will meet inside Savage Arena for a 7 p.m. tip on CBS Sports Network.
The remaining date in the 21-day wildcard window include CBS Sports Network selections on Feb. 3, Feb. 10, Feb. 17, and two on March 3, while ESPN holds selections for Feb. 3, Feb. 10, and March 3. Once match ups are selected for those dates, game times will be announced by the league and each school selected.

Season tickets are currently on sale for the 2022-23 men's and women's basketball campaigns with each purchase gaining entrance to both men's and women's games inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center. Reserved seating is limited and fans are encouraged to call the EMU Ticket Office at 734.487.3669 to reserve seats as soon as possible. The Eagles are set to open their 2022-23 season with an exhibition game Thursday, Oct. 27, with Grand Valley State University visiting the George Gervin GameAbove Center for a 7 p.m. tip. The regular season gets underway Monday, Nov. 7, when the Wayne State University Warriors come to town for a 7:30 p.m. start. The game with WSU will be the second half of a men's/women's doubleheader as the Eastern women will play host to Lindenwood University at 5 p.m.
