Six Eastern Greats Officially Enshrined as E-Club Hall of Famers

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The E-Club Hall of Fame grew in numbers tonight, Sept. 24, as the six-member class of 2021 was officially enshrined in an induction ceremony that took place inside the Convocation Center.
The honorees, joined in attendance by countless friends, family members, former coaches, fellow E-Club Hall of Famers, and University staff and dignitaries included: Carl "CJ" Johnson (Men's Track and Field), Jason Jones (Football), Amanda Kulikowski (Soccer), Carl E. Thomas (Men's Basketball), Charles E. Thomas II (Men's Basketball), and LaTonya M. Watson (Women's Basketball).
Considered six of the best performing student-athletes to ever play their respective sports at Eastern Michigan, the newest inductees join a prestigious group of more than 250 fellow Hall of Famers that will forever be honored at EMU. Each member of the E-Club Hall of Fame has a permanent plaque that resides in the Convocation Center atrium.
This year's class, the 45th since the E-Club was established, was celebrated at the event, which featured EMU Athletics play-by-play man Tom Helmer as the emcee and included remarks from University President, Dr. James Smith, VP/Director of Athletics Scott Wetherbee, E-Club president, Hildred Lewis, and all of the honorees. Video tributes, plaque dedications, food-and-drink, and even a surprise performance by members of the EMU marching band, capped the night.

The Class of 2021 will then be recognized during the EMU football game tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 25, against Texas State University.
