Soccer Picked Fifth in 2021 MAC Preseason Poll

The Eagles received 90 points from the league's head coaches
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University soccer team has been tabbed to finish fifth in the Mid-American Conference Women's Soccer Preseason Poll, the conference announced Wednesday, Aug. 18.
The Eagles received 90 points in the poll, behind only Buffalo (136 points), Bowling Green (132), Ball State (119) and Western Michigan (93). Buffalo (7) and Bowling Green (5) were the only two programs to collect first place votes. Out of the 12 tournament champion votes, Bowling Green gathered half (6).
Eastern Michigan opens the 2021 slate Thursday, Aug. 19, hosting Illinois State at 3 p.m. at Scicluna Field.
Fans are reminded that face coverings are not required outdoors regardless of vaccination status. Additionally, the University still requires everyone who is visiting campus to complete a COVID Screening Form. On the day of the event, please utilize the following link at https://covid.emich.edu to complete the screening form prior to arriving on campus.
