Gymnastics Sees 10 Eagles Earn Academic All-MAC

The Eagles 10 honorees is third best in the conference
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team had 10 student-athletes named to the Academic All-MAC team by the Mid-American Conference office Tuesday, May 11.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Eastern Michigan had the third-most gymnasts earn the accolade with 10, a number that breaks the streak of nine. EMU has had nine student-athletes named to the conference list for three consecutive years: 2018, 2019, and 2020. Kent State paced all programs (13), followed by Northern Illinois (12). After the Green and White, both Bowling Green and Central Michigan saw nine honored, while Ball State and Western Michigan tied for fifth in the MAC with seven honorees.
