Ganesan and Popma Tabbed MAC Doubles Team of the Week

The Eagles No. 1 doubles pair have earned the award three times this season
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University tennis team's No. 1 doubles pairing was named Mid-American Conference Doubles Team of the Week, announced the league office Wednesday, April 21. This is the fifth time an Eagles duo has been tabbed for the honor, and the third time that redshirt junior Vasavi Ganesan (Tamil Nadu, India-Alagappa Matriculation School (Eastern Florida State)) and redshirt freshman Isabelle Popma (Staphorst, Netherlands-Center for Sports and Education) have been the recipients.
Ganesan and Popma went 2-0 this weekend against Ball State and Grace College, April 16. The pairing bested their Cardinal opposition 6-2, and followed with a dominant match against the Lancers, winning 6-0. The duo earned their ninth and 10th win of the season together.
The Eagles will travel to Kalamazoo to take on Western Michigan on Friday, April 23, before returning home to the Chippewa Club to challenge Miami Sunday, April 25.
