Diving Concludes Competition at NCAA Zone C Championships

Schempf advanced to finals in 3-meter
LEXINGTON, Ky. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University senior diving duo of Bethany Berger (Batavia, Ohio-Glen Este) and Micaela Schempf (Bowling Green, Ohio-Bowling Green) wrapped up competition at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships today, March 8, at the Lancaster Aquatic Center.
Competing in 3-meter, Schempf led the way for the Eagles, scoring 256.00 for 14th place in the preliminaries to secure her place in the final round. The Bowling Green, Ohio native finished with an overall score of 494.75, good for 18th place.
Scoring 225.20 in the preliminaries, Berger finished the initial round in 22nd place.
Berger will head to the NCAA Championships, March 17-20, in Greensboro, N.C. to compete in 1-meter diving. Additional information will be released closer to the meet.
