Three Eagles recorded double-digit scoring performances as senior Yeikson Montero (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic-Redemption Christian Academy (Pensacola State)) leading the way with 15 points, including three triples. Kent State continued its offensive momentum going on a 7-4 run to take the 10-point lead, 47-37, with seven minutes left. Over the next three minutes, Eastern recorded an 8-7 scoring run to cut the Golden Flashes' lead to nine, 54-45, with 3:36 left in the game.
