Luke Brown Earns MAC XC Runner of the Week Award

Mid-American Conference Championships take place at Eagle Crest Golf Club, Oct. 30
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- For the fifth time this season, a member of the Eastern Michigan University cross country program has earned the Mid-American Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week award the league announced, today, Oct. 27. Reeling in the honor this week was sophomore Luke Brown (Thornville, Ohio-Sheridan) for his performance at the EMU Fall Classic, Oct. 22.
At Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Mich., Brown competed in the 5K where he ultimately finished 15th with a personal-best time of 15:35.6. For the Thornville, Ohio native, his previous-best time in the distance was 15:48.7, which he set at the same course, Aug. 20, 2019.
Up next, the Eagles they are ready to host the Mid-American Conference Championships Saturday, Oct. 30, at Eagle Crest Golf Course in Ypsilanti, Mich. The men kick off the league showdown with an 8K at 11 a.m., followed by the women's 6K at 12 p.m.
