MAC Basketball Tournament Gets Underway Monday, March 9

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University men's and women's basketball teams begin its postseason journeys with the first round of the 2020 Mid-American Conference Tournament Monday, March 9. Men's and women's opening round tournament games will begin on campus sites for seeds No. 5- No. 12.
On the women's side, the seventh-seeded Eagles will go up against No. 10 Northern Illinois with tip off slated for 7 p.m. from the Convocation Center. Eastern split the season series with the Huskies, notching a 62-55 victory in Ypsilanti, Jan. 25, while falling in DeKalb, 65-59. Feb. 26

On the men's side, EMU will travel to No. 6 Kent State for the first round of the tournament. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m. from the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. Eastern won the only regular season meeting, as the Eagles walked away with a 70-49 victory, Feb. 18.
Action then shifts to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in downtown Cleveland, Ohio, March 11-14.
