Cortney Bezold Earns MAC Specialist of the Week Honors

Bezold claims the teams first MAC award of the season
CLEVELAND, Ohio. (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University junior Cortney Bezold (Maineville, Ohio-Bishop Fenwick) earned Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week honors, the league office announced Wednesday, Feb. 5. This is her third time claiming the honor, and first time for the Green and White this season.
Bezold was huge for the Eagles on bars against Lindenwood University, Feb. 2. The Maineville, Ohio native hit 9.900 to a earn a first-place finish, helping lead Eastern to its highest overall score of 195.325, and a win over the Lions.
The Eagles return home to the Convocation Center to welcome reigning MAC Champions Northern Illinois University Friday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. The meet will serve as Senior Night for the Green and White, who will honor four of its seniors.
