Head Coach Jayson Wiseman welcomes Emma-Lou Pommiers to Ypsilanti

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University tennis coach Jayson Wiseman announced the signing of Emma-Lou Pommiers (Aire sur I'Adour, France-Saint Dominique Pau) to the EMU tennis team Friday, June 21.

"We are very excited to add a player of Emma-Lou's ability to our lineup. She has won a number of tournaments in France, and beaten some of the best players in her country along the way. We believe that she is going to be a major contributor in both singles and doubles right from day one," said Wiseman.

A multi-sport athlete in high school, Pommiers participated in both basketball and running events when not on the tennis court. On the court, she was a departmental and regional champion in both the individual and team levels.

When asked why she chose to commit to Eastern Michigan, Pommiers sighted her excitement to be able to play at the NCAA Division I level, along with the opportunity to learn from an experienced coach.
