- Senior Delaney Duncan (Galesburg, Ill.-Galesburg) completed her career as a member of the Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team Saturday, March 23, at the NCAA Championships hosted by the University of Texas.

After placing runner-up in the 100 Breaststroke Friday night, Duncan capped off her career in the Green and White with a 19th-place finish in the 200 Breaststroke, touching the wall with a time of 2:09.04. The Galesburg, Ill. native bested swimmers from the University of Michigan, Stanford University, and the University of Southern California with her effort Saturday.

Duncan's 200 Breaststroke performance at the NCAA Championships finished her career as an Eagle, leaving behind a legacy unlike any swimmer before her. Some of her top accolades include being the only female Mid-American Conference swimmer to earn the conference's 100 Breast championship in four straight seasons, recording both of the top times in Eastern Michigan history in the 100 and 200 Breast, earning All-American accolades five times in her career, all while being the only Eagle to ever qualify for the NCAA Championships all four years of her career.

"Delaney finished her career with an amazing performance at the NCAA Championships," Head Swimming Coach Peter Linn said. "We couldn't be more proud of her."
