EMU opens MAC play at home next weekend, Sept. 21-23
The Minutewomen scored in the 25th, 48th, and 51st, minutes to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the opening minutes of the second period.
With an extremely young XI on the field that featured four freshman, six sophomores, and a junior, the Eagles' offense broke through. Freshman Emma Collins (Windsor, Ontario-St. Anne) drew a foul in front of the EMU bench and fellow freshman Kylie Frantz (Erie, Pa.-Villa Maria Academy) delivered a perfect service to the middle of the 18 where sophomore Marla Cobetto (Trenton, Mich.-Trenton) headed it in.

Eastern now turns its focus to Mid-American Conference play. The Eagles begin the MAC season at home next weekend, Sept. 21-23, starting with a Friday evening match against Kent State University. Kickoff between EMU and KSU is slated for 5 p.m. at Scicluna Field.
