YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University athletic department has announced the launch of a new podcast, The Eastern Insider, Monday, Aug. 27.
The "Eastern Insider" will be available every Monday during the academic year, and is hosted by EMU Associate Athletic Director Greg Steiner and Assistant Director Kyler Ludlow. Weekly segments include coach interviews from all sports, student-athletes interviewing their fellow student-athletes, feature segments, a look back at the Eagles' action from the previous week, and a preview of the upcoming EMU schedule. The "Eastern Insider" replaces the "All E Show", formerly found on various terrestrial radio stations.
Monday's first episode features interviews with soccer coach Scott Hall, volleyball coach Kimi Olson, and football coach Chris Creighton.
Podcasts, which serve as on-demand radio, have grown in popularity in recent years, and Eastern views it as a possibility to better share the stories of EMU's student-athletes and staff. The podcast will be available online at EMUEagles.com/podcast.aspx, as well as Apple iTunes and Google Play.
WEMU (89.1 FM) continues to be the flagship station for broadcasts of football and men's and women's basketball games.
