Armstrong-Grant was the top finishers as she clocked in with a time of 1:49.34 to lock up sixth-place, while Shugarman is set to swim in the consolation finals after touching in with the 16th-ranked prelims time.

The 100 backstroke proved to a successful event for Eastern, as the Green and White qualified three for the finals. Sophomores Claire Young (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.-Grosse Pointe South) and Casey Gavigan (East Setauket, N.Y.-ward Melville) led the way, claiming two of the three-top spots.
