Each week two Eagles will be honored for their success on the field
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Each week, the Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics names the EMUCU's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic media relations department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are women's basketball athlete, Danielle Minott, and men's basketball athlete, Boubacar Toure.
Danielle Minott
Sport: Women's basketball
Position: Guard
Year: Redshirt senior
Major: Economics
Week's Achievements: Redshirt senior Danielle Minott (Miami, Fla.-Miami Country Day) led the Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team to a 1-1 record last week, Nov. 26-Dec. 1. Minott averaged 22.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 3.0 assists, and a block per game to pace the Eagles in a pair of stat-stuffing performances. Her best performance of the week came at Illinois as Minott led EMU to a near-upset of Illinois, Dec. 1. The Miami, Fla. product went of for a career-high 29 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the second double-double of her career, and her first of the season.
Boubacar Toure

Week's Achievements: Eastern Michigan redshirt junior Boubacar Toure (Dakar, Senegal-Phase One Academy (Grand Canyon)) averaged 15 points and nine rebounds on a week that saw EMU take on TCU (Nov. 26) and Northeastern (Dec. 1). The Dakar, Senegal native put up a career-best 20 points and also pulled down 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season in the Eagles' loss at TCU, Nov. 26. Toure also added 10 points against the Huskies on 5-of-5 shooting from the floor.
