Attendees will receive detailed instruction from EMU coaches

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University baseball team has announced dates for its 2017 Fall Prospect Camps.  The sessions are scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 10 and Oct. 8, at Oestrike Stadium.  Both sessions run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Players will receive detailed instructions regarding all baseball fundamentals used by the Eastern Michigan coaches and players such as; proper throwing technique, fielding ground ball and fly ball techniques, along with proper hitting technique.

The morning session will take place from 9 a.m. until noon and will be structured like a pro-style workout, giving players a chance to showcase their skills in front of the EMU coaching staff, as well as other college coaches from Division II, Division III, and NAIA institutions that will be in attendance. The afternoon session will follow and include skills instruction and two games until 4 p.m.

The camp is open to any and all high school players or any junior college players in their second year.  It will be instructed by the EMU baseball staff, led by head coach Mark Van Ameyde, as well as his assistants Eric Roof and Spencer Schmitz.

The cost of the prospect camp is $125 for position players or two-way players, and $75 for pitcher only players. Click here to register online.
