EMU Wraps Up Day One at Michigan First Chance

The event wraps up tomorrow, Feb. 19
ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Senior Makenzie Garringer (Napoleon, Ohio-Napoleon) of the Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team and freshman Matan Segal of EMU's men's swimming and diving team represented the Eagles on day one of the Michigan First Chance Meet Saturday, Feb. 18.
Garringer competed in two races throughout the day, the 200 Individual Medley and the 100 Butterfly. In the 200 IM, Garringer clocked in with a time of 2:09.06. She then touched in with a time of 57.42 in the 100 Fly to complete the day.
On the men's side, Segal turned in a time of 1:54.33 in the 200 IM.
The Eagles return to the pool tomorrow, Feb. 19, for day two of the event. The first session of the day is set to begin at 11 a.m.
