EMU to Host Lindsay Ell Pre-game Concert on Homecoming

The country singer will hold a free concert prior to the Eagles' game against Western Michigan
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics announced it will be hosting country music star Lindsay Ell for a free pre-game concert at Rynearson Stadium prior to its Homecoming game against Western Michigan University, Saturday, Oct. 21.
The free concert will take place, rain or shine, outside the main entrance of Rynearson Stadium (Gate 2) in the quad. The concert begins at noon, immediately following the Eagle Walk at 11:45 a.m., and ends at 1:30 p.m. before the 2 p.m. kickoff.
Ell has had four hit singles on United States radio, and her current album, "The Project", reached as high as No. 40 on the Billboard Country Music Airplay charts. Her debut EP, "Worth the Wait", reached No. 2 on the iTunes Country charts, and her current single, "Waiting on You" hit No. 46 on the Billboard Country Music list.
Ell has toured with country music superstar Brad Paisley, and performed with the likes of Chris Young, Darius Rucker, Sam Hunt and Lady Antebellum. She was a nominee for the 2016 CMT Music Awards Social Superstar award, and has also been nominated for Canadian Country Music Awards Female Artist of the Year and Rising Star.
Fans are encouraged to attend the concert and then head into Rynearson Stadium, as the Eagles host the Broncos in Homecoming action. Tickets for the football game are available by calling the EMU Ticket Office at 734.487.3669 or by visiting EMUEagles.com/tickets. Fans can purchase adult tickets for $15 in advance or $25 on the day of the game, while youth 12-and-under are just $8.
In celebration of EMU's 97th Homecoming and the 30 year anniversary of the California Bowl, a special group package is being offered, 30 tickets for only $97. Also, available for the Homecoming game is the new Buy Two, Get Two Free promotion. The offer allows fans to get four tickets for the price of two, and as a bonus offer, all single-game ticket buyers can add tickets for the Nov. 2 or 23 games for just $3. These deals are available until Oct. 20.
EMU students continue to gain free admission with a valid student ID, and faculty and staff tickets are only $5 for Homecoming.
