Wrestling Signs Eight Newcomers for 2016-17 Season

The eight recruits come from three states and will compete in seven weight classes
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University wrestling team announced it's incoming recruiting class for the upcoming season today, Aug.17. Joining the Eagles this upcoming winter are Zach Blevins (Dundee, Mich.-Dundee), Tomas Gutierrez (Arvada, Colo.-Pomona), Wyatt Harden (Hadley, Mich.-Oxford), Jared Leidich (Olmstead Falls, Ohio-St. Edward), Andrew McNally (Uniontown, Ohio-Lake), Ameer Munassar (Melvindale, Mich.-Melvindale), Jake Spiess (Delta, Ohio-Delta), and Chance Veller (Swanton, Ohio-Delta).
The class received honorable mention honors in FloWrestling's Top-20 recruiting class rankings. The eight recruits hail from three states, including three from Michigan, four from Ohio, and one from Colorado. They are projected to represent seven different weight classes at EMU.
"This class brings a lot of energy and excitement to our program," head coach David Bolyard said. "We are looking forward to getting them here and to start working towards their academic and athletic goals. I'm extremely proud of this class and the job our staff did to put it together."
Zach Blevins (Dundee, Mich.-Dundee; 149 lbs.)

Tomas Gutierrez (Arvada, Colo.-Pomona; 125 lbs.)
