Open Letter to Former EMU Student-Athletes, Alumni and Supporters:
We are the Champions Advisory Board. A diverse group of former student athletes and students who share among us a deep connection for our beloved alma mater. Our paths have been as diverse as the sports we were a part of, but one thing has remained constant - Our lives were forever changed and shaped by our experiences at Eastern Michigan University.
In the last year, we have returned to EMU with a renewed commitment to help pay forward the opportunities realized as a result of our collegiate experiences. We are a team, and our strength lies in our diversity and love for our University. We have taken our opportunities and developed them into vibrant lives and are proud to come together and build upon the rich traditions that were passed to each of us. We believe in the student-athletes that have come after us and are committed to give of our time and resources to make their experience at EMU one of the greatest in their lives.
With the recent news coverage of EMU Athletics over the past week, we are compelled to reach out to all former student-athletes and supporters of EMU. We call on you to come back, get involved and connect to each other and our University community. Below you will find contact information for our Director of Athletics, our Director of Development and every Head Coach of our 21 athletics programs. We encourage you to reach out to them, introduce yourself and find out how you can support their efforts to bring pride to the Block E. We also ask that you share this message with your former teammates and help build the network and family of EMU Athletics.

The Champions Advisory Board was founded in June of 2015.
They are a group of key stakeholders whom:
- support the Athletic Department financially
- volunteer their time and expertise
- provide advice to the Director of Athletics
- serve as ambassadors for EMU Athletics
