Each week two Eagles will be honored for their success on the field
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Each week, the Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics names the EMU Credit Union's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic media relations department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football players Jordann McDermitt and Brogan Roback.
Jordann McDermitt

Week's Achievements: McDermitt played a pivotal role in the Eagles' strong weekend at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, Nov. 11, helping the Green and White to a fifth-place finish with 102 points, which was nearly 100 points better than last year. Individually, McDermitt took home a fifth-place finish after posting a career-best time of 19:59.5. Based on her performance, she was named all-region. The next day, Nov. 12, the Eagles secured an at-large bid to the upcoming NCAA Championships for just the second time in program history.

Week's Achievements: Roback continued his stellar season with his best game as an Eagle yet in the 48-41 win at Ball State on Nov. 8. The Maumee, Ohio native passed for a career-high 468 yards on 37-of-71 passing, both of which were career-highs, and three touchdown passes. The 37 completions ranked fourth in a single game all-time, while 71 attempts was third in a single game all-time. It was the third-most passing yards in a game in program history, and the most since Andy Schmitt set the program record with 516 in 2008. Roback added a career-high tying 41 yards on eight rushes, as well as his fourth career rushing score. The 468 yards were the 22nd most by an FBS player in a single game this season and the second most by a MAC player.
