Each week two Eagles will be honored for their success on the field

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Each week, the Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics names the EMU Financial's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic media relations department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are football player Brogan Roback and women's cross country runner Jordann McDermitt.

Week's Achievements:
Jordann McDermitt led the Eagles to a team victory at the George Dales Invitational Friday, Sept. 11. She finished the race as runner up with a time of 20:54.24, more than 30 seconds ahead of the next Eagle. The previous weekend, she also turned in a great performance, coming in third at the EMU Celebration, crossing the finish line in 17:12.9. She is without a doubt one of the team's leaders despite only being a sophomore.

Week's Achievements:  
Making his first start since Sept. 13, 2014, Brogan Roback led the Eagle offense with a career-high 330 yards on 17-of-24 passing and three scores, good for a quarterback rating of 96.7.  Under his command, the EMU offense scored on six of its first seven possessions to give Eastern a 38-7 lead.  The Green and White would go on to win 48-29 for its first non-conference road win since 1988.
