Day Two of the Saint Mary's Fall Invite All Set

The Eagles finished up the second day of their final fall invitational
MORAGA, Calif. (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University's tennis team completed the second day of the 2015 Saint Mary's Fall Invitational Saturday, Oct. 10, in Moraga, Calif. The Eagles struggled on in day two, winning just a pair of singles matches.
Andrea Martinovska and Klara Supejova started the day as the only Eagles to compete in doubles action. The duo dropped an 8-7 decision to San Jose State's Marie Klocker and Gaelle Rey.
In the A Draw of singles play, Supejova was ousted in the round of 16 by SJSU's Marine Dans, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, while Rey knocked off Martinovska, 6-7, 6-1, 1-0, in the consolation bracket. In the consolation bracket of the B Draw Anna Veleva defeated Cal Poly's Bryn Bacharach, 6-2, 6-1, but Maria Paula Ribero retired against Sacramento State's Andie Mouzes following a 6-1 first set loss. Veleva then fell in the quarterfinals of the consolation bracket, as UC Davis' Alexandra Huie took a 6-1, 6-4, decison. Renu Sharma moved on the consolation bracket finals in the C draw after taking down Portland's Sarah Hellstern, 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (3).
The Eagles complete the SMC Fall Invite Sunday, Oct. 11, before taking two weeks off until the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Midwest Regional in Ann Arbor, Mich. beginning Oct. 22
