YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – Despite being just five days away from the kickoff of the 123rd season of Eastern Michigan University football, the EMU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics took time out of its busy schedule to head down on to the "EMU Gray" FieldTurf at the Factory inside Rynearson Stadium to participate in some friendly competition. Representatives from every department took to the field to go head-to-head with each other in a variety of events.

To begin the event, all of the participants entered the stadium from the tunnel at the south end of Rynearson Stadium. After being split into teams and hearing the rules of competition, the games began. There were nine different events, scheduled across the turf. The events included: an obstacle course, balance beam, mini-bicycle race, bean bag toss, hula hooping, water balloon toss, ball toss, putting challenge and finally the participants had to blindfold themselves and make a Block-E out of their bodies.

The events brought individuals from different departments together, preaching communication and teamwork across the board.

Following the Eagle Games, the department and high profile members from on-campus took their places underneath the tunnel and took on the #ALSIceBucketChallenge as many other people across the world have in order to show their support for the ALS Foundation.
