YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Football season is less than two months away, which means single game tickets for the 2014 Eastern Michigan University football team are now on sale! Do not miss out on your chance to see first year Head Coach Chris Creighton and the Eagles take the new "EMU Gray" FieldTurf inside Rynearson Stadium.
To be part of the excitement, purchase your single game tickets online at EMUEagles.com, by calling 734.487.2282 or by visiting the EMU Ticket Office daily between 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Ticket prices start at just $12 for adults and $5 for youth 12-and-under.
The Eagles are set to host the Bears of Morgan State in the season opener, Aug. 30. The University at Buffalo comes to town for the annual homecoming game, Oct. 11, before Northern Illinois University invades Ypsilanti, Oct. 25, for Hall of Fame Weekend. EMU welcomes in-state rival Central Michigan University, Nov. 23, on Band Day before the season concludes at home against the University of Toledo, Nov. 28.
Fans can purchase reserved tickets (sections 104-106) in advance of gameday for $15, while the price will increase to $20 at the door. Single-game general admission tickets will be $12 when purchased in advanced or $15 on the day of game. A rate for youth 12-and-under is also available in both the general admission ($5 in advance or $7 day of game) and reserved sections ($7 in advance or $10 day of game) . Additionally, groups of 10-99 can receive tickets at $7 each and groups of 100+ are only $5 each. Please call the EMU Ticket Office at 734.487.2282 to arrange a group outing.
Last month, June 19, EMU announced renderings and plans for the new FieldTurf Revolution surface that will be installed at Rynearson Stadium. Inspired by this region of the state and the student-athlete's own backgrounds, the team has challenged itself to be "E Tough," committed to great effort, sacrifice and triumphing in the face of adversity. In this spirit, the team has nicknamed Rynearson Stadium "The Factory," a place where coaches and staff will go to work each day to help "E Tough" student-athletes become scholars, leaders, champions and impact men. "The Factory" will be highlighted by Division I Football's first gray FieldTurf playing surface for the fall season.
Utilizing the colors gray, green and white, the Block E logo will be at the 50-yard line while the logo for the MAC will adorn the field as well. The playing surface will be gray with white hashmarks and numbers, while the end zones will be green with the word "EASTERN" on the northside and "EAGLES" on the southside in white. The new look within Rynearson Stadium, and moniker, "The Factory," will serve as visual and name recognition for the program's ideals. They are a constant reminder to the student-athletes that being E Tough means coming ready to roll up their sleeves and to never give in or let up.
