EMU Versus NIU Contest Selected for Television by the MAC

The Feb. 20 contest will move from 7 p.m. CT to 6 p.m. CT
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball contest with Northern Illinois University scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 20, has been chosen as Time Warner Cable's MAC Wildcard Selection, the Mid-American Conference office announced today, Jan. 31. The originally scheduled start time of 7 p.m. CT will be bumped up an hour to 6 p.m. CT at the NIU Convocation Center.
In addition to being aired on Time Warner Cable Sports, the game will be offered on ESPN3, Watch ESPN and ESPN Full Court. TWC will also work with affiliates in the MAC footprint concerning distribution in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana (Comcast Michigan, Comcast Indiana, Comcast Sports Net Chicago, Charter).
Eastern looks to continue its dominance over the Huskies from a season ago. In 2012-13, Rob Murphy's Eagles defeated NIU on three separate occasions. EMU's most recent game with Northern Illinois came in the first round of the 2013 FirstEnergy Mid-American Conference Men's Basketball Tournament, when the Green and White snuck away with a one-point, 45-44, win at the Convocation Center, March 11, 2013.
Next up for the Eagles is a road contest in Oxford, Ohio, when Eastern squares off with Miami University, Feb. 1. Tip-off from Millett Hall is scheduled for 3 p.m. and fans can catch the action on 89.1 FM (WEMU).
