Women's Tennis to Travel West for a Week of Matchups

The Eastern Michigan University women’s tennis team takes on a busy week as they travel to three different sites in California for three separate competitions.
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team takes on a busy week as they travel to three different sites in California for three separate competitions. They will be visiting Northridge, Long Beach, and Santa Barbara from Tuesday, March 5, to Friday, March 8.
The Eagles' first match takes place Tuesday in Northridge, Calif. against Cal State University-Northridge, beginning at 2 p.m. EMU goes into the duel with an overall record of 5-6 against a team with a 3-2 record at home.
The next stop will be in Long Beach Thursday, March 7 to take on Long Beach State University. The contest will begin at 2 p.m. against the 8-3 LBSU 49ers.
The Eagles will end their trip with a set Friday, March 8, in Santa Barbara. Eastern will face the University of California Santa Barbara who holds an overall record of 8-3, with play commencing at noon.
The women's tennis team of EMU is currently riding with a streak of two shutout wins against the Oakland Grizzlies (Feb. 23) and Dayton Flyers (Feb. 23).
