YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University guard/forward Daylen Harrison (Akron, Ohio-St. Vincent-St. Mary (Wyoming)) was named the 25th-best player in the Mid-American Conference according to Hustle Belt. Hustle Belt is naming the top-25 players in the conference on a day-by-day basis, leading up to the 2013-14 MAC basketball campaign.

Harrison was the first player named on the list, as the website is counting down its top-25 men's basketball athletes in anticipation of the 2013-14 season.

Harrison started all 34 games for the Eagles in 2012-13. The redshirt-senior averaged 8.9 points and 4.8 rebounds a game. The 4.8 rebounds was good for second on the squad. Harrison scored in double figures in 15 games with a career high of 19 points at Toledo, Feb. 9, 2013. His work at the charity stripe did not go unnoticed as he made 65-of-77 free throws, a percentage of .844, which was good for the third in the MAC.

Hustle Belt continues its countdown to the 2013-14 basketball season by listing its top-25 players. Eastern Michigan hopes to see more of its returning starting lineup honored by the publication. The Eagles begin their season in just under a month, first hosting Marygrove College for an exhibition matchup Monday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m. The regular season opener will take place four days later at the Convocation Center. The Green and White will host Albion College Friday, Nov. 8, at Noon for its opening contest of the 2013-14 season.
