EMU's Lampley Named Third-Team All-MAC

Senior point guard led the 2011-12 Eagles in scoring and assists

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University senior point guard Darrell Lampley (Linden, N.J.-Linden-Lakeland C.C.) has been named third-team All-Mid-American Conference for the 2011-12 men's basketball season it was announced today by the league office. The all-league teams are voted on by the league's head coaches.

The 5-foot-10 Lampley played in all 32 games for the Eagles in 2011-12 and earned 31 starts. He led the Eagles in scoring, at 13.3 ppg, assists, with 3.3 dishes per game, and three-point field goals, with 46. In addition, he was the only Eagle to log more than 1,000 minutes this past year with 1,011. He is also one of the top free throw shooters in the MAC with a percentage of .846, making 110-of-130 attempts.
