AUBURN, Ala. (EMUEagles.com) — Briana Emig and Kelly Hendricks of the Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team wrapped up day two of action at the 2012 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships in Auburn, Ala. this afternoon, March 16.
Emig competed in the 400 individual medley. The junior raced to a 4:17.96 finish in the event for a 36th place finish in the prelims and fell short of qualifying for the finals session this evening. Florida's Elizabeth Beisel earned the top-seed for tonight's final with her time of 4:01.57.
On the three meter boards, Hendricks took 28th with her dive total of 280.35. Jaele Patrick of Texas A&M earned the top-seed for the final session after tallying a 358.25 in the event.
Emig will return to action tomorrow afternoon for the preliminary session of the 1,650 freestyle scheduled for 4:30 p.m. The finals session will take place at 7 p.m. with live results available at EMUEagles.com.
