Glover Named MAC West Pitcher of the Week

Freshman earns MAC accolade for the first time in his career.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Eastern Michigan University freshman hurler Jordan Glover (Toronto, Ontario-Ontario Schools) has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced today, May 18. It marks Glover's first career conference accolade.

Glover tallied a career-high nine strikeouts over eight innings of work to lead the Eagles to a 5-0 win over Central Michigan, May 15, at Oestrike Stadium. Glover gave up just three hits and walked two in eight innings to earn the win and pitch EMU's first shutout since the 2007 season. Glover improved to 3-4 on the year with the win.

The Eagles are back in action Wednesday, May 20, for the first round of the MAC Tournament at V.A. Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe, Ohio. The No. 7 seeded Eagles will take on MAC West champion and No. 2 seeded Ball State University at 4 p.m.
