Head men’s basketball coach on celebrity wait staff for Meals on Wheels fund-raiser
YPSILANTI, Mich. – Eastern Michigan University veteran Head Men's Basketball Coach Charles E. Ramsey will be one of 16 members of the local community serving as wait staff for the Meals on Wheels annual celebrity benefit dinner, “Spring Fling,” scheduled for Thursday, March 19, from 5-9 p.m. at Bentley's restaurant in the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest Hotel.
Ramsey, who just completed his fourth year at the helm of the EMU men's basketball program, will join Dr. Morell Boone-President of Meals on Wheels and Dean of the EMU College of Technology, Donna DeButts-Ypsilanti District Library Community Relations Director, Larry Doe-Ypsilanti Township Treasurer, Rev. Keith Geiselman-Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Ypsilanti, Dr. James Hawkins-Superintendent of Ypsilanti Public Schools, Diane Keller-President of the Ypsilanti Chamber of Commerce, Ed Korzyno-Ypsilanti City Manager, Dr. Paul Kuwik -Coordinator of CERNS at EMU, Michael Martin-Teamsters Trustee of Ypsilanti Township, Brenda L. McKinney-Treasurer of Superior Township, Mark Ouimet-Washtenaw County Commissioner, Paul Schreiber-Mayor of Ypsilanti, Bill Salamey-Owner of Stadium/Budget Towing, Brenda Stumbo-Supervisor of Ypsilanti Township, and Jim Vick-Vice-President of Meals on Wheels.
Cost of the buffet dinner is $19.95 per person, $8.95 for children. All tips collected will go directly to Ypsilanti Meals on Wheels to help deliver meals to local homebound individuals in Ypsilanti and the surrounding townships.
