The Eagles stayed within striking distance, but could not hold off the Braves, who took the set, 25-22.

EMU came back in set two, taking an early 7-1 lead. The Braves climbed back to within two at the 10-8 mark before a kill by Randolph added another point for the Eagles. The two teams knotted the score at 12 and then again at 14 before the Braves took the lead, 15-14. A kill be Leite and Jennifer Swartz (Canton, Mich.-Westland John Glenn) put the Eagles within two, before the Braves added two more to the board. A huge block came from Randolph and Jillian Bates (Billings, Mont.-Billings Senior) with the Eagles down two, 20-18. At the 22-19 mark, two kills by Jill Wolosiansky (Uniontown, Ohio-Green) and another by Leite knotted the score at 22, but the Braves found two open spots on the floor to take the 25-23 set win.
