WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team fell to William and Mary College, 3-0 (19-25, 20-25, 23-25), in the second match of the Tribe Volleyball Invitational Saturday morning, Aug. 30, here at Kaplan Arena.
 
The loss was the first of the young season for the Eagles, as the Green and White fall to 1-1 after the three-set loss.  Senior Jill Wolosiansky (Uniontown, Ohio-Green) and junior Victoria Randolph (Cincinnati, Ohio-Mount Notre Dame) combined for seven kills a piece as the Green and White struggled to hit consistently. Freshman Ashley Mason (East Lake, Ohio-Lake Catholic) chalked up 23 assists and 12 digs for the Eagles.
 
For William and Mary, two players tallied double-digit kills, with Erin Skippers’ 14 leading the way.  Lauren Powell notched 12 kills, with a .296 hitting percentage. Kim Mount finished with 42 assists for the match.
 
The Eagles will wrap up the Tribe Volleyball Invitational later this evening versus the University of Baltimore County at 5 p.m.
