YPSILANTI, Mich. – The annual spring game for the Eastern Michigan University football team is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, at 12:30 inside Rynearson Stadium. The traditional Green and White teams will face off against each other in the final scrimmage of the spring season.
Beginning at noon, all youth are invited to join the EMU players and coaches on the field to stretch with the Eagles prior to the game. Participants will have the opportunity to meet the players and coaches.
Admission is free and all kids can come out on the field with the Eagle players and coaches before the annual spring game. Those interested in participating should arrive between 11:45 and 12:00 p.m. in order to sign-in. The event is restricted to kids in eighth grade and below.
The Spring Game kicks off at 12:30 p.m. There will be four quarters, 15 minutes each, with a running clock except during the final two minutes of each half. Immediately following the final whistle, players will be available on the field for media interviews, fan autographs and fan photographs.
Stretch with the Eagles is an annual tradition started by head coach Jeff Genyk to encourage youth participation in the EMU Football program. Last year, more than 200 kids participated in the event.
