MOBILE, Ala. – Senior Graham Hill (Brights Grove, Ontario-Northern Collegiate (Indiana (Pa.)) fired a five-under 211 (69-70-72) to finish in a tie for eighth place here at the University of South Alabama Jaguar Intercollegiate at the par 72, 6,850 yard Azalea City Golf Course ,Sept. 17-18. South Alabama's Daniel Burns took home medalist honors with a 13-under 203 (65-70-68), after defeating Middle Tennessee State's Kent Bulle in a playoff.
As a team, the Eagles finished fourth with a team score of 863 (288-290-285) as the MTSU Blue Raiders claimed the tournament title carding with a 826 (270-272-284).
Junior Christopher Ross (Dundas, Ontario-Parkside) followed with a four-under 212 (73-70-69), while sophomore Brandon Lemons (Portage, Mich.-Portage Central) and red shirt freshman Brad Larente (Cambridge, Ontario-Hespeler Secondary) tied for 36th place with a 222. Sophomore Cam Burke (Baden, Ontario-Waterloo Secondary) and senior Peter Sauerbrei (Kingston, Ontario-Kingston Collegiate) rounded out the lineup with a 225 (77-77-71) and a 235 (74-79-82), respectively.
Head coach Bruce Cunningham's Eagles will return to action at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate in Zionsville, Ind., Sept. 22-23. The Eagles will join host Indiana along with Arkansas, Ball State, Denver, IUPUI, Kent State, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Northwestern, Penn State, Toledo, UNC-Greensboro and Virginia. The tournament will consist of 54 holes with 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday.
