Eagles Defeated 194.125 to 192.925 on Senior Day

, Mich. — The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team dropped its final home match of the season to Kent State University, 194.125-192.925, Saturday afternoon here at Warner Gymnasium.  The loss was EMU’s first at home this season. 

With the setback, Eastern Michigan drops to 10-7, 2-3 MAC on the year while Kent State moves to 10-3, 5-1 MAC.

On the vault Eastern Michigan would place the top six scores, led by freshman Erin Grigg who would take medalist honors with a 9.775.  Junior Jolene Worley and sophomore Dyuen Zu
Vuong
would tie for second place with a 9.750.

With an early lead heading into the second rotation, Vuong and Grigg would finish in a second place tie, posting a 9.775 on the vault for the green and white.

Worley would pace the Eagles on the beam and floor competitions, scoring a 9.725 on the beam to take second, and a 9.800 on the floor on her way to medalist honors.  Worley would also take top honors in the all-around competition, tying her season-high mark of 39.025.

The Eagles hit the road for their final meet of the season, traveling to Mt. Pleasant, Mich., March 24, to face conference rival Central Michigan University.  The meet is slated for a 2 p.m. start time.
