Frankowski Selected MAC Player of Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio- Eastern Michigan University women's tennis player Vanessa Frankowski (Stuttgart, Germany-Albertus Magus Gymnasium) has been voted the Mid-American Conference women's Player of the Week for the period ending Mar. 2, as announced by the conference office. This marks the first time in her career she was won the award.

Frankowski, ranked No. 86 in the nation went 3-0 in singles play during the Eagles trip to Florida. While posting wins over Elvira Serrot (UCF), Olga Ruislova (Bethune-Cookman), and Virginia Galbarini (Stetson), Frankowski did not drop a set. She has won her last seven matches and is currently 15-4 on the season as the number one singles player for Eastern Michigan.

The Eagles will be idle for the next two weeks before they host conference rival Toledo, Mar. 23. The match is slated for a 1 p.m. start time at the Chippewa Club.
