Head coach Jeff Genyk highlights character of latest recruits

Complete Release (PDF).

YPSILANTI, Mich.
--The 2007 football recruiting class is the fourth for Eastern Michigan University Head Football Coach Jeff Genyk, and like the Eagles’ on-field performance, the recruits keep getting better each year.

“We placed a high priority on recruiting student-athletes with character and I feel we have recruited a class of young men who are great people from outstanding families,” Genyk said of the Class of 2007. “The average GPA of this class is above a 3.0 and the average ACT test score is over 20. A total of 14 members of this recruiting class played in state playoffs last year. Along with having great character, these young men are very good football players from strong programs. We have also continued to prioritize our recruiting in the state of Michigan along with Ohio, Indiana and Florida.”

The Eagles’ Class of 2007 includes 13 players from the state of Michigan, six from Ohio, two each from Florida and Indiana and one from Virginia.
